I started running in the Summer of 2020 as a Sophomore. Since I was later to the game than most, I knew that I would have to put in a lot of hard work if I wanted to succeed. I quickly fell in love with distance running, becoming self-motivated and dedicated to the sport. I work hard, from academics, to nutrition, rest, and workouts, to make sure that I can compete and perform to the best of my abilities.
While I have made great improvements, cutting down my first cross country race time of 27 minutes to 20:02 my 2nd season, there is still so much more I want to accomplish. My goal for cross country this year is to run sub 19:00, as well as qualify for Regional's and potentially State. My track season was stalled last year due to an injury. This year, I want to cut down on my times so that I can become more competitive. I primarily run the 1600, where I want to run in the low 5:00’s as well as the 3200, where I'm striving for a time sub 12:00. I'm excited to find a school that can support me not only academically, but also athletically, as it helps me learn and grow to achieve new goals.
