I have been running Cross Country since my sophomore year. Even in that short time, I have been able to push myself beyond all expectations and have run on the Varsity team for my high school since my very first meet. As I start my senior year, I have found a deep passion for running and want to follow my dreams by participating at the collegiate level. I know an opportunity like this could drastically change my life.
Over the past two years I have been running, I have been able to decrease my 5K time by three minutes. I bring to the team not only a deep passion for the sport but also a great leadership quality. I have been recognized by my teammates and coaches by being awarded the MVP and "Best Teammate" award. I am very coachable and one of the hardest-working runners you'll find.
Over the last four years, I have maintained a GPA of 3.8 and work very hard to continue to push my academic abilities to their fullest. I am also involved in some extracurricular activities. I volunteer for Agape Girls, and Spanish/Pep Club, and I also participate in the youth Track and Field/Cross-Country programs every summer.
I want to attend a college where I can pursue earning a degree to work in the medical field as well as push my running abilities to the next level. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible. I hope to continue to be a positive role model for my teammates and strive to be the best person I can!
