Hello, my name is Rhianna Davis , I am sprinter and am also currently training for the hurdles. I am a junior and started running track in 6th grade. I didn't necessarily "fall in love" with track until 8th grade, and decided I wanted to compete in college between 8th grade and freshman year. I started off running a 12.9 in 6th grade, which most would say is pretty fast. Later that season I ended up having issues with my hamstring which caused me to take some time off. This was a major setback in my career so it was nothing but hard work from there which resulted in me qualifying for nationals for the first year. I also wasn't able to compete my whole freshman year due to me transferring, but I came back my sophomore year winning a triple crown (100,200,400) and receiving conference MVP. This year I am continuing to improve, working even harder both on the track and in the classroom, and just staying patient knowing the results will start to show sooner or later.
Academics is something that separates me from others. I have been an A student since my freshman year, and also started taking college courses my sophomore year. My cumulative GPA is currently a 4.39 and I am ranked in the top 5 of my class, while also having a 3.58 college GPA. I am a tutor at my school and am also apart of the National Honors Society. Discipline is another one of my strengths no matter if it has to do with nutrition, diet, academics, etc. My goal is to find a college that fits me, my personality, needs, and my lifestyle.
