Hello! My name is Lyza Forson and I am a junior at Urbana High School in Urbana, OH. I began throwing in the 8th grade and have fallen in love with the sport. Through hard work and dedication, I have developed my skills and have become one of the state's top throwers across all grades as well as within the class of 2025. While throwing is extremely important to me, I also prioritize God, my family, and my academics. Throughout my childhood, I have always been taught to give everything I do my best effort and I take that to heart. Whether it is something as small as decorating a gingerbread house or something as important as getting a good grade in my chemistry class, I take pride in completing my work to the best of my ability. Since the beginning of my high school career, I have pushed myself academically and athletically by taking all of the CCP and honors courses available to me, participating in many extracurriculars, and becoming very involved within my small community. While these things consume most of my time as a high school student, my hard work has paid off in many areas of my life and I feel that my involvement in activities within my school and community better develops me as an overall person. Additionally, these engagement opportunities have provided me the chance to socially network myself and learn how to better communicate in group settings and teams. Thank you for taking the time to read my statement and view my profile!
