The moment I fell in love with throwing is the same moment I threw 28 feet in my first indoor meet of my sophomore year.
During my freshman year, I didn't take this sport very seriously and I was just did it for fun. I intended to get better but it just wasn't happening. I lifted throughout that summer and I got stronger. I was getting better and I didn't even realize it. That first throw of my sophomore indoor season changed the way I looked at everything and from that point on I knew that this was something I was going to do the rest of highschool. This was something I wanted to do my whole life if I could. I have done nothing but work hard to get better and be the absolute best version of myself since then. I have made it to finals in meets I never thought about competing in. I have placed in more than my freshman self had ever dreamed of. I have been humbled by other throwers more times than I can count and that is only for the better. All in all, I know that I am going to continue to work to be the best version of me forever. And I can't wait to see where this sport takes me!
