Shechinah Adams '12 Recruiting Profile

Hi I am Shechinah Adams; I am 5’3” and a cross-country, track runner for Coweta High School in Oklahoma. This year I ran on all of the relays and an open 400, running the anchor leg for the 4x4 and 4x8.

• Top 10 in State cross-country for 3 years.
• 5A State cross-country champions 2010 runner up in 2008
• 2^nd in state 4x4 relay 2009, State champs 4x8 relay 2011, 3^rd in the meet of Champions.
• 3^rd place in State meet 400m 2011.
• Conference & Regional champs in 2009, 2011 Track
• Conference & Regional champs in 2009, 2011 cross country
• Varsity all three years
• All state athlete in 2008, 2009, 2010, Tulsa World all Metro team 2009, for cross-country.
• All state athlete 2011 for track.

• I am a team leader providing an example of leadership on and off the track. Other coaches say I have heart and leave it out on the track. One coach likes to say he has quarters in his pocket to bet on me because I am a winner. I give everything I have to win, that is just how I am.
• I desire to remain in the Midwest and prefer smaller classrooms. I prefer DI or DII, but a quality education is key.
•  I’m open to any school size as long as I can remain there for 4 years.
• I have two younger brothers along with an older brother in college. My father will retire from the Air Force soon, funding may be a problem in the future.
• I am interested in sports science and exercise, athletic training, or equine management or science.
• My short-term goal is to run as a freshman and earn all conference honors in college.
• My goals in life are to rehab horses or athletes to provide a comfortable life for them.
• By earning a higher education, and doing what I love, I know it will help me to accomplish my goals.
