Abby Kate Qualls ...Personal Statement
As Eric Liddell so famously said in Chariots of Fire, “God has made me for a purpose. But he also made me fast, and when I run, I feel His pleasure.” I feel this quote beautifully encapsulates my relationship with running. I am highly competitive and work hard to achieve goals and contribute to my teams. I am an active student leader who strives to be a better version of myself every day and desire to impact those around me. I deeply respect authority and try hard to have a great attitude even through adversity. I believe character is shaped through not only the wins but also the losses and I would love the opportunity to compete at the next level and let this sport that I love continue to grow me.
