Hello,
My name is Julia VanMinnen and I am from Chatham, Ontario, Canada. I have been doing high jump since my elementary school years, and for the past two years I have placed top ten in my Provincial meets. (In 2022, I got second place and in 2023, I got seventh.) My personal best is 1.61m - or 5.28 ft.
I aspire to participate in a Dl, Dll, or Dlll college team to further my high jump journey, and to continue pushing myself to compete.
I am different from other athletes because I know the hard work this will take, and I am more than willing to do it. I am a trustworthy, punctual individual who takes things seriously, and I would not waste an opportunity.
Additionally, I am a strong student. I take challenging courses and continue to show great results. I work hard even when I'm not at school, because I know the importance of good grades when getting accepted into colleges and universities.
