I have always been passionate about athletics. From a young age, I joined my primary school's cross-country and athletics teams. At the age of 10, I decided to join my local cross-country and athletics club, the Ottawa Lions.
During the pandemic, I stayed consistent and more serious with my training. In the 9th grade, I started racing at competitive level with my school and my club. Doing Track & Field, I've learned a lot of different lessons about resilience, especially when overcoming injuries. For example, during the 2022 cross country season I got an injury to my glutes and shins. Taking the time to rehabilitate, gave me more physical and mental strength to compete.
This summer I participate in many different races, some of which include my clubs twilight series and the U18 Athletics Ontario Championships. This summer I was very concentrated on getting my goal mileage, strength and endurance, while taking appropriate rest to avoid any injuries. I am now very focussed for my 2023 Cross-Country season, to achieve my personal best.
While training and competing for Cross-Country and Track and Field, my academics remained the most important thing. I am constantly striving to be in a top student in my class, peaking my curiosity In various subjects.
