I have been involved in competitive sports since the first time I set foot on the AYSO field in Corvallis, Oregon at age 6. I won my first track event soon after at an all-comers meet, and have been in love with competition ever since. I began running hurdles in 6th grade and found my home. I work hard to better my time at each event throughout the season and have done that consistently throughout jr. high and high school. Unfortunately due to an erroneous understanding of the accelerated program in Oregon which was intended to provide a head start on a junior college education for directed studies students, and a programmatic change at the state level, I will not be able to compete at Crescent Valley High School for the full four years most student athletes are afforded.
Instead I will graduate a year early, and be entering college in the fall of 2018. Despite not having a fourth year to grow and improve, I am anticipating enough improvement to show college coaches I am a strong enough athlete to merit their interest and secure a spot on their roster. I am a hurdler, 4x400 relay member and intend to be a champion in both.
Thank you for considering me for your team and your school.
