The first experience I had where I realized I wanted to run college track was during my freshman year of high school. I learned that even though I was a freshman I could compete with every single girl out on the track. My race was the 400m and when I was told I wouldn't be able to make it to state in that event, it made me want it even more. I persevered and gave every workout and race my all. I ended up placing 4th in state as a freshman with a time of 59.6. I have also been the league champion in the 400m these past 2 years. But, not only do I leave everything on the track every time I step on it, I also love to encourage my teammates. Last year in 2017, my coaches awarded me with the coaches award. They gave me this award for always being positive and encouraging on and off the track. My goals after high school are to become very successful athletically and academically. I have a 3.9 GPA and plan to major in exercise science. I believe these qualities would make me a very good addition to your track team.
