My love for Track & Field started when I was in 7th grade. Ever since the first practice I have wanted to do nothing but just run, lucky for me I'm pretty good at it. Going into my 9th grade year I started Pole-vaulting and it opened up a whole new world to me. There wasn't just the running aspects to this sport, there was this exciting, adventurous flurry of activity in the middle of the track that made this sport all the more exciting. My love for track & field expanded into something that has changed my life.
As I entered into high school Track & Field helped me find my place and gave me the strength to aspire in every way. Track & Field has offered me so many experiences and helped me make friends from other schools and areas. As each new season begins I get so excited at the opportunities and the challenges that are waiting for me. I am working very hard to be the best that I can in high school and to be able to compete on the college level. Working with my coaches has taught me to appreciate being fit and how working towards goals can be expanded beyond sports and carry into every aspect of life.
I am a go-getter kind of person and will go anywhere in the country for the opportunity to get a top quality education to help me become an outstanding teacher and just as important to continue to improve my skills and be part of an outstanding winning Track & Field program. I completely understand that being a college athlete means you need to be dedicated to your sport and stay on top of your academic studies.
I guarantee that I will never disappoint you by being late for practice or not getting a workout done. I am always willing to stay that extra 10 minutes to get the extra time on the track that I may need. I may not be the fastest and strongest girl out there but I promise that I am the hardest working girl you will ever meet.
"Pain is Temporary, Pride is Forever" this is the quote I live by almost every single day when it comes to sports. I believe you have two options in life, go big or go home, and that is what I carry into not only competition but also into every practice.
