So far in my high school career, there have been many ups and downs to endure. The high points, like placing 9th in the Northampton Invitational for cross country and winning my heat in the 1600 at Ocean Breeze as a freshman, helped to build my confidence as a runner. Though, most of all, the low points helped me grow as an athlete and a person. I learned from spraining my ankle after my first cross country meet that I need to be grateful for what I have and to be positive because coming back is hard. I also learned that setbacks help encourage hard work and determination when my team didn’t make states. Going into Junior year, I hope to lead and motivate my team to help us move on to states this year!
Since I was little, my parents have pushed me as an athlete and a student. Because of their guidance, I have been able to gain many experiences through running that I would not have otherwise. I am looking for a college program that will be a great fit for my academic and athletic levels. As a multi-sport athlete in an all honors program as well as AP classes, I am able to efficiently manage school work, athletics, as well as personal responsibilities. As a rising leader on my team, I believe I can make great impacts to your program!
