Throughout my life, I have played multiple sports in my athletic career. I started my journey of Track and Field my freshmen year of high school. During my sophomore year of Track I found a driving passion for the unique sport. It allowed to me compete as an individual, while also being on a supportive team. Track opened my eyes to have more than just motivation for my sport, which comes and goes, to a feeling of determination. I know that if I’m going succeed I can’t just throw on the nice days, but I also have to throw in the pouring rain and snow storms. “First one there, last to leave” is a code I live by. Participating in JROTC and working my way up through the ranks has instilled leadership and hard work. My passion for Track drives me both from an individual and team perspective. I take on every challenge with open arms, because that is where we are open to our greatest change. I want to continue my love for Track in college because, while I know it won’t be easy, it will be worth the reward.
