I began running track and field in elementary school and I have loved it ever since. A big aspect as to why I would like to continue to run track in college is being a part of a team. This year in high school track, I was able to help my team reach AA WPIAL team semifinals by going undefeated in all the dual meets leading up. My team and I further qualified for AA WPIAL team championships and I was able to contribute to helping win that meet as well. For individual WPIALS this year, both my 4X800 and 800 came in first, qualifying us for states. What I believe lead to my success this year is my ability to build strong relationships with my coaches, team members, and be teachable. Academically, I always put in my best effort on all assignments, allowing me to continue taking honors classes. Because of my good work ethic, determination, and being a team player, I would be a beneficial member to your program.
