I started track my freshman year of high school. At the time I just joined track because I wanted to stay in shape for soccer, as well as my friends and family recommended me too. I soon realized my potential in being a successful track athlete, and learned to love the sport and its community. I still love to play soccer, but track has exceeded my expectations. Throughout my track career I continue to set and reset personal goals, as well as support my teammates with their own. The things I love most about track is the great sense of accomplishment it gives me after either finishing with a good time in a race, or just having a good workout at practice. The other factor that makes me love track is my teammates and coaches. They support me and I support them throughout our season during things like hard workouts or during the race. As well as outside of track they keep in touch about our physical and emotional health. Track has made me learn more things about myself due to the pressure, accomplishments, relationships with others, and its mindset. I hope to continue my track career in college and have an even more successful career than I do now.
