The moment I stepped foot into my highschool as a freshman, I knew that I wanted to run track and field. I knew that I had to work and lift to build my body strength. I immediately fell in love with every aspect of running and competing. I love my teammates and the endless support they give. I went to districts as a freshman in high school. I qualified for the 100 meters and the 200 meters. I was put into the 4x400, and I earned a district medal for placing in the top six in the 4x400 meter race. I want to push myself to qualify for districts again and for states. In the middle of my junior season as a varsity cross country runner, I sustained a knee injury that put me out for the majority of the season. I knew that I needed to work my hardest to get my head back in the mentality of running. After all the hard work, I ended up qualifying as a varsity runner on my team for the second year in a row, and I ran at districts. It was cold and rainy, but I was determined and excited to run. On that day, I ended up getting a new personal best. It made me proud to know that all that hard work paid off and I achieved my goals.
My academics are crucial to me. Every year in high school yet, I have pushed myself to be in the highest level classes for Math, Science, and English. I have chosen to take honors classes that challenged me to work hard. I am currently enrolled in two AP classes and 2 dual enrollment classes that I believe will challenge me and prove to colleges that I have what it takes to succeed. Right now, I plan to become a veterinarian since I have an interest in working with animals. I want to major in animal science or Biology with a pre vet pathway and then get my doctorate. Science has always been my favorite subject, along with Math.
