Growing up, both my mom and my dad had a great influence on who I am today. They encourage me to put 110% effort in everything that I do, and they taught me that giving up is never an option if I want to succeed.
I first started running in the 7th grade. From then, I ran both track and cross country until my sophomore year where I found I was better in the 200 and 400m. Running taught me to not only be physically tough but mentally as well. I've learned how much stronger I've grown, and I know now just how much I am capable of doing in the future.
I'm currently working to keep my grades up and maintain my GPA of a 3.7. My goal is a 4.0, so I challenge myself with AP classes as well. In college I want to major in architecture and graduate with a bachelors degree.
What makes me unique is my ability to bring people together. I strive to better myself in every way possible, but I also encourage those around me to do the same. Although track is an individual sport, it is important to push your teammates as well, because we're all working towards a common goal.
