My name is Mae Kaufman and I am a rising senior at Mid Valley High School. I have been competing in track and field every year since 7th grade and from the first practice, I knew it was for me. Even from a young age, I have always been very competitive and very goal oriented. My accomplishments in the last two years of track include having 5 school records in the 400m, 200m, 100m, 4x100, and 4x400 along with 5 district medals in all of my events (2023), being awarded team MVP and Coaches Award from my school, and being awarded 2023 coaches 1st team All-stars for sprinting.
Apart from track, I have always been very dedicated to my academics. I am currently ranked 10th in my class with a GPA of 3.98. I have worked hard to maintain good grades and keep high honors and National Honors Society every year while taking AP and honors courses.
Running the sprint events is one of my passions and I love being part of a team. I’m excited to run and train at the next level. I’m happy with my progress and times but I feel as though my best is yet to come. I come from a dedicated, loyal family, and know I have the work ethic and time management skills to contribute to your team.
