Ava Lang '25 Recruiting Profile

I have wanted to run in college since I was just starting track my first year of middle school. From the instant I stepped onto the track, I fell in love with running. I am always committed to working the hardest on the team and achieving the best of what my body will allow me. 

At 9 years old, I lost my dad to Cardiac Arrest. He was incredibly fit, an avid runner and cyclist, and highly involved in our community and my life. Since then, I have wondered the reasoning behind his death and why God chose that I should grow up without a dad. I have dedicated every race I have done and will ever do to making my dad proud, knowing that he is watching over me every step of the way. My passion for the running sets me apart from other athletes and I know that my motivation will never falter.
