Rachel Flinchum '20 Recruiting Profile

I aspire to be a highly competitive collegiate thrower. 

I have always been an athlete, but this is my first year throwing and I love it.  I want to continue with my love and passion for throwing by taking it to the next level.  I've played softball all through middle school and high school and I snow ski, but I've only been throwing shot put and discus for 6 months and javelin for 2 months.  The dedication and effort I have put into it has taken me to the AAU Junior Olympics and TSSAA State Championships, but I strive to go even further with my throwing career in college. 

I'm a quick study, eager to learn and I listen and take direction very well.  I've taken Honors and AP classes to help prepare me for college level academics.  I've also worked, sometimes two jobs, since I turned 15.
