Domonique Stewart '27 Recruiting Profile

     Hello! My name is Domonique Stewart, and I'm currently a freshman at Copperas Cove High School in Texas. Since 7th grade, I've been deeply involved in both AAU/USATF track and UIL track, exploring various events such as the 3000m, 1600m, 800m, 400m, and 4x400m relay. However, my focus lies primarily on the 800m, fueled by my passion for improving my performance in the 400m.

     My journey in athletics began at a young age, starting with four years of gymnastics before discovering my love for track, thanks to the encouragement of my UIL coach in 7th grade. To stay in top form for track, I've also participated in cross country during my 8th and 9th-grade years.

     Outside of track, I share an artistic passion, progressing my drawing skills since childhood. I consider myself hardworking, creative, honest, and determined, traits that extend beyond the track and into every aspect of my life.

     As a military child, I've experienced diverse environments, having lived in Louisiana, Hawaii, Virginia, and now Texas. This background has instilled in me adaptability and resilience, qualities that I bring to my athletic pursuits and beyond.

     My academic achievements include membership in the National Junior Honor Society and maintaining a 3.7 GPA since middle school. I take pride in my coursework, as all my core classes are honors classes, reflecting my dedication to academic excellence alongside my athletic pursuits.

     My current goals include achieving a time of 57 seconds in the 400m and 2:25 in the 800m, pushing myself to excel and grow with each stride. Alongside my athletic efforts, I enjoy running Central Texas 5K races with my family, fostering both fitness and family bonds.

 As a freshman, I'm honored to have been selected for varsity in both track and cross country. I look forward to continuing my journey in athletics and academics, striving for success and embracing every opportunity for growth.
