Sophia West '19 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to continue expanding my knowledge of American Sign Language, obtain my interpreting AND teaching certification, while thriving as a student athlete! I’d love to major in American Sign Language because my ASL teacher has inspired me over the past 4 years to interpret in all settings including music. I am very organized, motivated, and intent on completing challenges on and off the track. My best events are the open 200M and 4x200M, but I also enjoy 1600m runs. Don't let my height make you dismiss me, because it doesn't affect my speed! I’m efficient in communication, both written and verbal. I also am considering being a coach after college. I’m so excited for my senior season and can’t wait to watch my teammates and I make it the best yet!
