Davinia Mireles Sanchez '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Davinia Mireles, from Presidio, TX, and graduated with Class of 2022.  I did not commit to any school after my graduation. I am currently considered a junior, and attending the University of Texas at El Paso.  I want to be able to be part of a program, and looking to continue my track career despite the challenges I have faced. 

As a student-athlete, I have faced a variety of obstacles that have helped me develop into the athlete I am now. Living in a border town, athletes did not have the best resources and many faced issues that most high schoolers do not deal with. Due to the this, I have grown to be an athlete willing to strive for the highest, everyday of my life. This mentality has helped me understand that, athletes are always compared to others, but in truth one can only compare themselves from their previous capabilities. My optimism as an individual, benefits my mental strength to conquer various challenges presented to me and prepares me for any meet.
