I found my passion for track my freshman year in high school when I decided to try hurdling for the first time. At the time, I was also a competitive soccer player, playing for an ECNL-R team traveling around Texas and Oklahoma to play. After my brief freshman season of track, I knew this is what I wanted to pursue at the collegiate level. After completing my sophomore year, I made the decision to give up soccer and focus all my time into track. I joined a club track team, Track Houston, in 2021 and have been working with a private hurdle coach to improve myself daily. I believe I am ready to compete at the college level, based on my times and coachability. I value receiving feedback from the adults in my life, coaches and teachers, and applying it to my daily actions.
In the little free time that I have between academics and athletics, I love to paint and draw, as well as spend time with my younger sisters/family. We are a family of athletes, so we are always on the go and at some athletic event.
