Hi, my name is MacKenna Gallon and i'm from Heber City, Utah and I attend Wasatch High School. Joining NCSA during the pandemic, makes my account a little weak. As a freshman, when I joined, I didn't get to compete in any events for track, like many athletes.
I am 5'10" and weigh around 135 lbs. My main event is javelin. I do throw shot and disc, but not as skilled. My PR in javelin in 111’9 ft. Every year I travel to Idaho for a Throwers camp called Ironwood. I was coached by former Olympians such as Duncan Atwood and Karen Smith my first year. I am taught so much, they personally helped my form and technique. Doing this, made me throw farther than most on my team. I do understand the work and input it takes to get to the next level, and accomplish my goals. One being to break the Girls Utah State Javelin Record.
You can find more of my athletic training and competing on my Instagram @mac.gallon.
In school, I take classes like, advanced animal science, vet science, equine science, floriculture, ag biology, and chemistry. My average GPA is a 3.45 but I always try to get better grades every year. In college, my dream is to study Large Animal Veterinary Science. But, if that doesn’t workout I would love to be a FFA Advisor/ Ag Teacher!
I hope I can make a excellent exception for your team!
