Hello! My name is Cadence Kasprick and I am an rising Junior at Grand County High School. I am a multi-sport athlete doing XC, basketball, and track. I started running when I was young with my family and haven’t stopped since. My freshman year there was no XC offered due to Covid and my track season was very short. I moved to Utah my sophomore year and competed in XC, placing 6th at state. I then participated in track placing 3rd in the 3200m, 5th in the 1600m, and 8th in the 800m at the state championship. I am ready and excited for this upcoming year and want to work hard and am setting some big goals and cannot wait to achieve them.
Moving twice throughout my life, with one of the larger moves begin in covid, has affected who I am a lot. It has taught me to be resilient, outgoing, and it has taught me to be grateful for the opportunities I have. I started trail racing when I was 7 for fun and I found a lot of joy in it. Later on in 7th grade I participated in track and fell in love, and since then have participated in every track and XC season available to me. I just enjoyed competing and being able to improve. Through track and XC I have learned to always push myself and how to work hard.
