I’ve always been an active person that enjoyed playing just about any sport (mainly volleyball) and doing anything outdoors. When we moved to Utah in the summer of my sophomore year, I decided to give cross country a try before I tried out for volleyball. Needless to say, I never ended up trying out for volleyball as I found a passion that I didn’t know existed when I would lace up my running shoes and go. I’ve since participated in cross country and track (primarily 800 and 1600). Why did I get so hung up on running? That’s a great question…I think it has to do with the ability to be in charge of your results given your determination, drive, and ability to dig deep. I hope to continue my adventures in cross country and track through high school and hope to have the opportunity to extend this into my college years.
Academically, I remain determined, driven and devoted. I hold a 3.88 GPA while taking honors and AP classes. I serve on my schools National Honors Society. My goal is to attend a college that challenges me both academically and athletically. I hope to continue to improve and grow as a strong athlete in high school and hopefully in college.
