Personal Statement

There are many things I value in my life. Family, friends, and personal values in anything I do are a significant aspect of my life and I am searching for a college team that shares the same values, where I can continue to grow as an athlete, and ultimately as a person overall.

I have been throwing the javelin since I was in fourth grade and it has a very special place in the core of who I am. As soon as this implement was introduced to me, I could not look back. Javelin changed my life and continues to take me to amazing places. It has had a significant positive impact on me as a person.

I imagine my college years to be a personal growth period. My goal is to explore a major that will position me well for a thriving career that I love.

As I grow both physically and mentally throughout my college Track and Field career, I will strive to be an asset to the throwing team. I am very self driven and motivated and will push myself to improve. On the field, I plan to be a dynamic thrower and positive influence on the team. I am especially looking for a coach that is invested in my growth, to help me reach my full potential.

I will always conduct myself with integrity and respect on and off the track field, knowing that the way I carry myself reflects my team, my coaches and the school I attend.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
