My name is Olivia McGill and I am currently a Junior at Battlefield High School. I started running track in 8th grade at Skyline High School, Front Royal, VA. I still hold three records there (100 meter dash, 200 meter dash, and 4x100 meter relay). I went to the 3A/4A State meet both my freshman and sophomore year. My freshman year I qualified for the 100 meter dash and 200 meter dash, and made it to finals for the 100 meter dash and placed second. My sophomore year, I qualified for the 100 meter dash and the 200 meter dash once again; however, I made it to finals for both and placed second for each event. I am now experiencing indoor track for the first time now that I run for Battlefield, and I run the 55 meter dash with my personal best being 7.24, and the 300 meter dash with my personal best being 43.83. My goal is to run in college on a competitive team, and further my track career. I am seeking a professional career in the IT field, and I would like to attend a University with a strong IT program. I am a very ambitious student who is always looking for ways to improve. I learn from constructive criticism and will use it to better myself. My brother, Desmond McGill, who attended FIU (Florida International University) on a partial track scholarship, is also a good coaching influence for me.
I am looking forward to connecting with coaches through this communication forum, and thank you for reading my profile.
