Personal Statement

My name is Amanda Morrissey and I would love to run track in college! When I was an underclassman, I played soccer and was team captian my sophomore year. My junior year, I decided to run winter track to get in shape for the upcoming soccer season, but I fell in love with the sport of track! I have currently only competed in one season of track due to injury. However, I will be ready to go this winter! My goal is to get under 2:20 in the 800 and 3:15 in the 1000.

Something special about me is that I am very driven, coachable, and tenacious. Because I have only competed in one season of track, I am excited to be able to show my true capabilities.

This winter season I was given all region honors in the 1,600 placing 4th and a state qualifier.

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
