Being a military child has taught me the values of dedication, discipline, and sacrifice. These values have strengthened me mentally and physically inside and outside the classroom. When I was younger, I use to get upset when I found out my family was relocating to a new duty station. The first thing I use to say was “I have to start all over again". However, I was able to adapt quickly. Once I began volunteering and participating in extracurricular activities I learned why dedication, discipline, and sacrifice were so important. I enjoy being a part of a team that is committed to push me to strive and work harder and to continue to help others. There are numerous times when I had to decide if I wanted to do extra training or hang out with friends. I taught myself to train first and have fun later. Now that I am older, I learned that with every military move, I have added a new chapter to my life. It’s a blessing to receive support, advice and tips from all the people I have met during our military moves. I am committed to working hard and maintaining a positive influence for my team. I plan to pursue a degree in Biology.
