My name is Brietta Sandell and I am a sophomore at Blaine High School. As a freshman in high school I have achieved the 6th fast time at my school for the 100m hurdles with a PR of 17.01. Aside from the hurdles i also run the 100 with a PR of 14.55. I have faced many challenges throughout my track season starting in 7th grade, the two biggest we’re having to have two knee surgeries. My surgeries set me back a lot with not being able to train and run for 6 months but I did what I could and continued keeping my grades up to maintain a high GPA. Going into my Sophomore year I am hoping to be able to compete the full season and participate in more events. Going into college I am looking forward to becoming a physical trainer. I am hard working and always the first to volunteer. I am a leader amongst my peers. Once I have taken one correction I always am ready to take the next to become a better athlete in the sport I love.
