Hi
My name is Tara Liu and I'm a pole vaulter at Bellevue Christian School and Northwest Pole Vault. I started pole vaulting the summer between my freshman and sophomore year and my PR is 11'0". Sophomore year, I jumped 10'0" and broke the school record for girl's pole vault at Bellevue Christian. From 5th grade to junior year, I also competed in gymnastics. I was on a competitive club team from fifth grade through my freshman year, then I joined Skyline High School's gymnastics team my sophomore year, where I was a team captain for my junior season. With both sports, I've battled numerous injuries (ankles, knees, concussion), which have caused many setbacks. However, I am willing to work hard to get back on track and I constantly am pushing myself to improve. I look forward to continuing pole vaulting and competing at the collegiate level!
