It has always been one of my goals, or aspirations I suppose, to compete collegiately. Perhaps my biggest motivator is to improve myself as an athlete and as an individual, and I believe the next step in my progression is college sports. Not only do I love to hurdle and run, but there's a thrill to improvement. There is nothing as fulfilling as getting that PR, breaking the second mark, and beating a hard competitor. Whatever my event I know that working hard is the key to that improvement, and I'm not shy of push myself to reach my goals. This applies to both my athletics and my schooling. Through my experience with high school sports I know that honesty and integrity have their place, as well as humility and confidence. One of my favorite quotes from this last Track and Field season gives great advice, "Humble enough to prepare, confident enough to perform." -Tom Coughlin. In my college career I hope to follow this quote, in both preparing and performing.
As far as goals, I aim to reach my potential as an athlete in tandem with my coaches. I am so excited to improve my hurdling technique, and to bring what I have already achieved to your team! Most of all I am motivated and eager to practice and compete at the collegiate level!
I hope you consider me for your team:)
