My name is Tiana Watson. I am currently a Junior at GHS and I am always striving to better myself and my community. I am passionate about learning and I'm not afraid to put in the extra work to achieve my various goals. I have volunteered at our local eye Dr. clinic, local soup kitchen, litter pickup and Red Cross blood drives.
School is very important to me so I try to maintain a 3.9+ GPA. I am also very involved within my school. I participate in National Honor Society, Purple and Gold Club, Renaissance Club, and I was apart of our ASB leadership program for two years and our FFA program for four years, competing at state a total of four times and Nationals once. Also I have earned an academic letter for my good grades as a Freshman and Sophomore.
I'm a three year varsity letter earner in soccer and two years in basketball and last year on both teams I was awarded MVP. This year instead of playing basketball I switched to wrestling for the first time ever also earning a varsity letter. I placed first at districts and sixth at regionals which overall was a great experience. Track is my favorite sport though, because it combines both the individual and team aspects all into one. I earned have my varsity letter in track twice and was hoping to do the same again this year. I'm looking forward to some big PRs this season and can't wait to see what I'm going to accomplish at Nationals in Las Vegas in July competing at the AAU track & field meet.
