I have always been one to see my plans out; doesn't matter how far the tunnel goes. Math homework has and will always be my biggest enemy. In elementary school I would run circles in my neighborhood when I was overwhelmed by the numbers on the page. Running soon became an outlet and one that would continue to influence my future career. When I got to middle school, I joined the cross-country team and have never looked back. My senior year I was feeling weary about the cross-country season, I felt burnt out and ready to be done with long practices. My determination and strength to persevere till the end was enormous. I couldn't let seven years of running go to waste. This determination will transfer over into classes in college. If I come to dislike a class, I won't let it stop me from finishing the class out. I would put just as much effort if not more to exceed in the class. I learned many things this year from cross-country and will continue to be open minded as I enter the tunnel of life after high school. I will go into every obstacle with a flashlight, a flashlight of dedication, persistence, and tenacity.
