Since the first time I touched the javelin, I fell in love with it. I have a lot of love and passion for that event. I'm barely a sophomore but that gives me time to work hard and reach big goals. Some goals of mine are to go to state and place. I want to show that I’m capable of doing big things. Some things I've learned from javelin is that it’s a really fun event, you meet a lot of other throwers and find new friends. You also learn from it too, when you have a bad throw you just have to think positively about the next throw and give it your 100%. I think I can be a good candidate because I’m a positive person and I don’t let things get to me. I’ll work hard every day to improve and show what I have to offer. I think I’m different from others because I try really hard in school and I try to enjoy every moment of school and sports. I’ve also done distance and sprints in track. I've done cross country since 7th grade but I wasn’t so good at that either. I do basketball in the winter for fun but my main sport is track. Track has brought such a positive impact on my life just from teammates to the coaches, it’s a really fun environment. I hope that I can continue with that love in college.
