Personal Statement
I have grown up surrounded by and participating in athletics. I discovered my love of running through playing competitive soccer. While I still continue to play soccer, I have realized that soccer is not my future, but track is.
Running track allows me to focus on my own personal achievements and the achievements of the team. I love how rewarding track can be for the hard work that I put in. I am driven, persevering, competitive and never one to give up. I support a positive atmosphere on a team full of healthy competition and good sportsmanship to our own team members and to opposing teams. I aspire to continue to be a student athlete on a collegiate level to reach my full athletic potential and to continue my academic goals of becoming an engineer.
