I am seeking a college that will help me accomplish my scholastic and athletic goals. I plan to pursue a major in a science field that will enable me to pursue a career in forensics.
I started my athletic career at the age of six by participating in competitive club gymnastics for six years. I learned early on the importance of dedication and team camaraderie. Once I reached middle school, I decided that I wanted to try a variety of sports, and I competed at the varsity level in soccer, cross country, and track. I ended my last year of middle school as the runner up for district champion in cross country and the district champion in the high jump, long jump, 400m, and 800m track events.
In high school, I currently compete at the varsity level in soccer and track. As a freshman, I was asked to participate in a variety of events, depending on the need of the team and participated in the 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, two relay teams and the long jump. I ended the year making it to the Washington 3A State track meet in the 400m and my favorite event, long jump. I am open to being called upon by my coach and filling in when the team is in need. Doing so has gotten me out of my comfort zone, made me a better leader, and has challenged me both mentally and physically.
I understand the importance of having a balance between my education goals and sports. I currently maintain a 4.0 GPA, with courses that include AP classes. Outside of sports, I enjoy socializing with my friends and being heavily involved in my church youth group.
I appreciate you reading my profile and considering me for your school. If there are any questions that you may have, please feel free to contact me.
