Going to states freshman year was the peak of my high school career. Although, I developed more into a student athlete my sophomore year when I lost our 4x4 relay at the Harrison County Championships, causing our team to come in second place. That experience helped me realize as an athlete the responsibility it took being in a relay. The fault of letting everyone down, helped me to realize how much my team relied on me, and that they were my top priority. I was able to grasp what was needed to perform at a higher level.
I was highly privileged to be part of an astonishing sports team, placing in states every year in more than one event. I learned the value and benefits of teamwork, sportsmanship, commitment, and leadership through all of our struggles along with our successes. I’m searching for a program that will athletically and academically be the most relevant for me. I believe I not only have the potential to compete for a college team, but the disposition, work ethic, and leadership skills to be a definite affect and impact on your program. As a state qualifier, I know I have the capability to be a leader and strong member on your team!
