To be completely honest according to my coach, I have no natural ability. However I do work hard at whatever is set before me, and this is how I have decreased my 5K time by four minutes over the last three cross country seasons through a couple rolled ankles and other injuries. I put everything I have into doing my workouts right and running my races well. I also apply myself in the classroom by taking challenging classes. I am a great leader, I work well with people, and get along with everybody I meet. For all of these reasons, my coach deemed it appropriate to make me a captain of our team of 68 girls.
