My name is Teagan Becker. I have been throwing shotput since 5th grade and disc since 6th. While I enjoy both sports, I definitely favor the shotput. My main goals for college are to become a better athlete and thrower and try new events to fall in love with. Since Wyoming can only provide shot put and discus, I would love to try both the hammer throw and the javelin. I also hope to improve greatly in both of my events and become a great college thrower.
An interesting thing about me is that I enjoy both music and art. I find them to be inspiring and express myself in unique ways. I also enjoy participating in branding and being anywhere outdoors. If I could have any career I would become a paleontologist, but being that it isn't profitable enough to sustain a living I decided that the medical field is where I could contribute myself the most. I've always enjoyed helping people, animals, and kids.
My personal record in the shot put is 42ft 2 3/4in. I won second in the state indoor shot and 3rd in the state outdoor shot. My PR in the discus is 119ft. I earned that at state outdoor and won 4th. Although it's not where I would like my PR to be, I plan to work hard on it and get it to where it should be.
