I aspire not only to be a great collegiate volleyball player, but also to perform well academically in college. In school, I perform well academically and strive to be the best scholar I can be. This semester I achieved high honors for the fourth time and was inducted into the National Junior Honor Society. Furthermore, I also have been apart of my school's leadership program for two years. That program has allowed me to broaden my leadership skills in the school environment as well as on the court. These leadership skills have also been portrayed through the time I spend each summer teaching young kids how to play volleyball. Another characteristic that differentiates me from others is that I play the piano along with volleyball and school. The piano has become one of my favorite hobbies (after volleyball). It allows me to express myself musically. Finally, as an athlete I strive to be one of the best. I am committed to working hard not only in games, but also in practice. I believe I would make a great candidate for your team because of all of these characteristics. I believe a great collegiate volleyball player should be a leader, a scholar, and finally an athlete that works hard.
