2022 SpotlightPersonal Statement
Hi Coach,
My name is Paislee Shelton and I am a Junior at Westminster Christian Academy. I am a starting varsity setter. I am 5’5 and have a jump touch of 9’0 and I am right handed. During this past 2022 season, my team won the AHSAA 5A State Volleyball Championship in Alabama! This season, I totaled 1,098 assists, 319 digs, and 38 aces. I also averaged around 7.7 assists per set. I also am on the All-State Tournament Team.
I have a 4.08 GPA and have received A-Honor Roll throughout all of highschool. I am in the National Honor Society and Key Club at my school as well. My 9th grade year, I served as the class president and was also involved in FFA.
Even though I am a setter, I am also a very good defender on the back row. I am a very versatile player that can do anything a coach asks. On and off the court I am a very determined hard worker. From a simple drill to the hardest tournament I never give up and always give 110%. When I go to college I am looking for a program that pushes me to be the best that I can be in both academics and athletics. I look forward to an environment of teammates/students that are not just my friends but also my family.
