I like to be the first one at practice to set up the nets and start a good warm-up. when I played U15 for Canada west our middle broke her ankle in practice the coach asked one of the setters to hit middle until she came back. I was the only one who said yes, she ended up not coming back to play that year. I, unfortunately, I did not get a lot of setting time thought the season although I kept up the skills with private coaching and skill sessions with other teams. I went for hitting the ball and going for every ball even if it was not mine, and was known for challenging the opposing hitters. I was also a server sub in for the u15 Canada west blue team. I am a great leader on a team and I carry positivity on and off the court. I strive to be the loudest player in the gym even if it means losing my voice, which happened when I played for u14 Canada west team at nationals. I still managed to be heard with half a voice. my #1 goal is to get better and go above and beyond expectations. I had the opportunity to go to Dallas tx and play at an exact sport camp with many university coaches. I was 14 at the time while the other girls where there were 17-18. they were all very talented yet the coaches still knowest me and the age differents did not make any change to the way I played. the coaches kept asking me my age because they did not believe I was only 14. I am not the most acidemic person out there but i put my all and try as hard as i can even if i do not get the result i was hoping for.
