Playing on a variety of sport teams of differing competition levels has helped to shape the athlete I am today. After dancing competitively for seven years, I discovered and started playing softball. From there I was eligible to play school sports where I learned the games of volleyball and basketball. I started club volleyball in the eighth grade and made the decision to put more focus on it after realizing my love for the game. I am from a small town in central Alberta and commit to the long commute to practice at least three times per week. I recognize this takes commitment and am dedicated to see it through in order to play at the highest level possible.
Volleyball brings out my competitive side and it has helped me to gain confidence and increase my communication skills. While playing I bring a calm, focused and determined presence on the court. I strive to be the hardest working player on my team, and realize that every touch makes a difference. I am a coachable and reliable athlete who thrives under pressure situations and makes smart plays.
I will continue to work hard throughout the remainder of my high school days, so that I can study Elementary Education and play volleyball at the post secondary level.
