Personal Statement

I have always been someone who puts forth 100% under any circumstances. Through my work ethic I have been able to learn to become a very vocal and persuasive leader on and off the court. I have been able to achieve numerous athletic honors throughout my three years of playing for Arizona College Preparatory including becoming captain my junior year. My years as an athlete for Arizona College Preparatory have taught me to truly put my team before myself in all situations. Our 15-1 divisional record this year proved the fact that selflessness really does make a difference. I am confident that these values have reflected on me and I am now a stronger athlete and overall person because of it.

ActivitiesFeed My Starving Children- Packing food for children in third world countries (total of 30 hours over 3-4 years). Ironman Race- Distributing necessary supplies to athletes in the demanding Ironman Race (total of 5 hours). Tutoring Spanish Students- Working to improve level Spanish 1 & 2 students’ understanding and love for the Spanish language (total of about 29 hours over 1.5 years). Junior High Volleyball Clinic- Helping out with running a junior high volleyball clinic which is put on by the high school volleyball program at our school (total of 6 hours). Veterans Day Parade- Holding a banner for one of the sponsors in a Veterans Day Parade in Mesa, Arizona (total of 5 hours) 12K’s of Christmas Run- Directed traffic toward the parking and drop-off areas of the race (total of 3 hours). ACP Open House Event- Helped out my school with an annual open house help at the school to promote our sports/clubs/community by representing volleyball at our table (total of 3 hours).
