My name is Mia Alexander, and I am a Libero/Ds for the class of 2023. I have played club volleyball for six years and I have always had a passion for being a back row player. Ever since I started volleyball, I’ve always been a ball of energy, ready to learn and improve. When I step onto a court, my competitive spirit comes alive, and I fight for every point as well as use every rep to improve in practice. I consider my team like my family and during games and at practice, my energy motivates them to succeed. Even in the toughest games, I lay down all my effort on the court, inspiring others to do the same. My favorite moment in volleyball is when my team is behind and suddenly makes a comeback and takes the game. I believe that my role as libero doesn’t just include passing and defensive skills, but also an aggressive spirit as well as a loud voice that isn’t afraid to run the court and communicate. My affection for this sport has only grown with every year and through every challenge I have faced. I’ve spent what feels like most of my junior high-high school life in the gym improving my game. I want to take my volleyball career to the next level and play in college. I’m searching for a mixture of academic and athletic excellence. I am an AP and Honors student, currently holding a GPA of 4.54. I love to compete but also want to be challenged academically while focusing on going into business.
