My goal is to play college volleyball for a program that recruits competitive student athletes. I am determined to work hard and represent my school on and off of the court. My long-term professional goal is to work for and lead an educational institution either in high school, community college or university level. I plan to study Marketing and/or Journalism and pursue a Masters Degree in Higher Education. Therefore I am prepared to give my all and learn from the best coaching mentors to help me become a well rounded individual who can lead and teach other young people in my professional life. Like any competitor, I want to win championships. I want to help build and lead a team to its highest ranking and play with girls who work hard and have good team chemistry. I am committed to making my teammates better and making my coach's job easier by doing well in the classroom, representing the program in the community and physically train to become a better player on the court. I am very loyal to my program and coaches. I honor my commitment to do what's asked of me. I am proud to be part of the same club for the past five years. In this experience, I have been through the building process of strengthening the club and never waivered at any point despite having some challenging seasons in the early years of the club. The payoff is that we are now ranked 7th overall in Division I in the Open Division.
As part of my experience, I have the opportunity to play and grow under seasoned coaches who teach me the necessary skills and mental discipline involved in playing college volleyball. I have played under Benishe Dillard-Roberts who has been my Club Director and Coach and was a former All-American at Long Beach State in 1998. For two seasons I have played for Linda Hampton-Keith who is currently the top Assistant Coach at Arizona State University. Additionally I train with former USC player and Cal State Northridge Assistant Coach Alicia Robinson. The above opportunities and experiences have made me a better player and person and prepared me to play under all conditions. I am committed to representing my school and team and not letting down those who take a chance on me.
